One Minute Prayers for Across the Nation

Liberal Federal Judge puts California Prop 8 Marriage on Trial
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray You uphold traditional marriage in California this week as defined by the voters who passed Proposition 8 but are now under attack by liberals who threaten to overturn the California Constitution by federal mandate.  They plan to use U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker’s kangaroo court as Walker apparently values TV publicity more than the safety of pro-marriage witnesses threatened daily by violent homosexuals. God we pray Isaiah 54:17, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against us in judgment God shalt condemn, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

New Jersey Senate Rejects Homosexual Marriage Bill 20-14
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we rejoice at the defeat of the homosexual “marriage” bill in New Jersey Senate by a 20 to 14 vote. Lord, thank you for hearing our prayers last month, and thank you for all our people who called and contacted the New Jersey legislators. Again we agree and declare with Your word from Genesis 2:22-25 that you created woman out of Adam’s rib and brought her to the man so that man would be united to woman and the two would become one flesh, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Court Lifts Ban on Chicago Church Helping Katrina Victims
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, thank you that the 7th Circuit Court recognized that federal law protects ministries from being targeted by zoning regulations and sharply rebuked the abuses of the Chicago city council members and some city officials who refused to allow World Outreach Conference Center to help Hurricane Katrina victims. Lord, please allow Matthew 25:35 to be practiced without restraint, for you say, “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,” in Jesus Name, Amen.

Texas Teachers Warned Against Being 'Heterosexist'
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, please protect our nation’s children in public schools from homosexual indoctrination and anti-Christian socialization and protect teachers who want to teach the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic without being forced to promote a liberal social agenda, especially in Texas where teachers were recently threatened to be held accountable for any “heterosexist” leanings. God protect freedom of religious expression for students and teachers alike.  From Ephesians 5:11 we declare we have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather we expose them, in Jesus Name, Amen.

City of Calgary says Homosexuals Yes, Christians No
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray for Calgary’s Street Church who filed a Human Rights complaint against the city and mayor for their blatant bigotry and Christophobia, when the city refused to allow a flag raising ceremony in honor of Jesus on Christmas after they allowed a flag raising ceremony for the homosexual community and the declaration of Gay Pride Month in September. Lord, we boldly ask for legal victory for Calgary’s Street Church.  From Matthew 5:10: blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Tennessee County Halts Gideon Bible Distributions
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we are saddened that a small Tennessee school district banned distribution of free Bibles, which Gideons International donated for decades, in Wilson-Carroll Elementary School because one anonymous fifth grader felt “pressured” to take a free bible, and threatened a lawsuit with the American Civil Liberties Union who claims Bibles are illegal banned books under the separation of church and state. Lord, we pray You give courage to school officials from Joshua 1:6-8 to be strong and courageous and be careful to obey all that is written in Your law, in Jesus Name, Amen.

9th Circuit Gives Christian Asylum from Iranian Torture
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we praise you for protecting Iranian Azra Taslimi, who converted to Christianity from the false Islamic religion in Iran in 2002. And we thank you for the recent decision by American Judge Harry Pregerson who supported Azra’s political asylum in America after she faced death and torture threats if deported back to Iran because she loves Jesus. Father, we now ask for Your favor to be upon Azra and her family from Luke 2:52 just like when Jesus grew in wisdom and in favor with God, in Jesus Name, Amen.

God Bless you, in Jesus' name,
