May Day 2010 A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress

May Day prayer rally THIS SATURDAY at the Lincoln Memorial in DC!
May Day 2010 A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray You come and bless the big May Day prayer rally on Saturday May 1st at the Lincoln Memorial, and bless the work of Faith 2 Action and the many leaders who will come pray for America. From Psalm 106:44-45, we declare “… You took note of our distress when You heard our cry; for our sake You remembered Your covenant and out of Your great love You relented.” Father, call Your children to repentance and save many souls from eternal damnation during this time. Return the righteous to power, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Pentagon Disinvites Rev. Graham Who Told the Truth About Islam
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we ask that You cause the leaders at the Pentagon to re-invite Franklin Graham to speak at the National Day of Prayer event at the Pentagon, and disinvite the anti-Christian Mikey Weinstein because of his violent and profane comments against Jesus. Graham was disinvited because he spoke the truth about Islam being a violent religion, but we praise you God, from Matthew 5:11-12, “"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you…because great is your reward in heaven,” in Jesus Name, Amen.

Supreme Court: Must Christian Bible Studies be led by Gay Atheists?
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray for the upcoming decision expected soon by the Supreme Court concerning a case that would force Christian groups to allow homosexuals and atheists to be officers and lead Bible studies in private college groups. We ask for Your favor in this case so that the Christian Legal Society club would not be forced to disobey Your word. From Deuteronomy 16:19, let justice not be perverted or shown partiality because of political correctness. Thank you for the victory, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Supreme Court Nominee Liu Beholden to Foreign Law
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray against Goodwin Liu, the Judge being considered for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, who is hardly suitable to protect and defend the Constitution, since he admits elevating foreign laws higher than U.S. laws. He said “the United States can hardly claim to have a monopoly on wise solutions to common legal problems faced by constitutional democracies around the world." From Ephesians 1:21, God You alone are sovereign, so please cause his nomination to fail, and replace him with someone who supports the Constitution, in Jesus Name, Amen.

SEC Caught Porn Surfing while the Economy Went South
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we are grieved at the depth of corruption and pornographic obsession within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as it has been revealed that senior staffers spent hours surfing pornographic websites, on government computers and at taxpayer expense, instead of keeping America’s financial system safe. We ask for God’s healing and mercy on those addicted to porn, and for Your cleansing Word to sanctify them, as we read from Ephesians 5:5, "For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God." Please deliver them, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Tennessee Attorney General Bans 'Jesus is Lord' License Plate
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, once again we pray for Tennessee Attorney General Bob Cooper, who singlehandedly decided that it is unconstitutional to allow church groups a specialty license plate that would say 'Jesus is Lord' in Tennessee, when all other non-religious groups are authorized to choose their own words. Last year Cooper nixed another plate that supported the Church of God in Christ, showing his clear anti-Christian discrimination. Lord, we pray for his swift removal from Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous rule, the people rejoice, when the wicked rule the people groan," in Jesus Name, Amen.
"Tennessee's attorney general says proposal to create specialty license plate that says "Jesus is Lord" is probably unconstitutional. The bill would require fees collected from the sale of the plates be used to further the mission of a nonprofit, nonreligious organization, such as the Children's Advocacy Center. But in a recent opinion, Attorney General Bob Cooper says he believes the establishment of such a license plate "violates the federal and state constitutional provisions against the establishment of religion."" Obama Skips Polish Funeral, Heads to Golf Course
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we pray to you about our President and his sense of priority. Instead of attending the funeral of the Polish president who was recently killed in a plane crash, he decided to go golfing instead. When other international presidents made different plans to get to the funeral, Mr. Obama didn’t even bother to go to the Polish Embassy in Washington to sign a condolence book. Father, we are saddened by this man’s apparently callous heart. Bless the people of Poland, from Psalm 119:70, “Some hearts are callous and unfeeling, but we delight in your law,” in Jesus Name, Amen.

Veterans fight to keep 75-year old Mojave Desert Memorial cross

MEDIA ADVISORY, April 28 /Christian Newswire/ --
The Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell has restored the rights of six State Police Chaplains to pray publicly "in Jesus name," reversing the policy of his predecessor Governor Tim Kaine who forced the chaplains to deny Christ or resign from their jobs.

"This victory comes after our two-year campaign for Jesus name," said Chaplain Klingenschmitt, who led a 1,000 person rally outside the Governor's mansion in 2008, then submitted up to 15,000 petitions to reinstate the chaplains jobs and free speech.

"We faxed voter guides to 2300+ Virginia pastors last summer, comparing Bob McDonnell, who campaigned for chaplains rights to pray in Jesus name, to his opponent Creigh Deeds who voted against Jesus prayers in the Senate. Those pastors helped us move the polls from 47-44% before our faxes, to the 59-41% victory for McDonnell on election day, because of this issue."

Now that McDonnell has fulfilled his campaign pledge, the six chaplain heroes including Rex Carter and Mike Honaker, who had turned in their badges rather than deny Christ, will be invited back to their chaplain jobs, and given free speech to pray "in Jesus name."

Chaplain Klingenschmitt will hold a press conference at noon on Monday, 3 May, near the corner of 12th and Broad in Richmond Virginia (outside the Patrick Henry Building), to display the 15,000 petitions that helped Gov. McDonnell restore chaplains rights. Police chaplains are invited to come meet the media. For interviews now or then, call or email Chaplain Klingenschmitt at 719-360-5132 cell, chaplaingate@yahoo.com or Don Blake of the Virginia Christian Alliance, at 804-651-1700.

One Minute Prayers for a Nation in Distress

May 1, Lincoln Memorial, May Day Program

National Day of Prayer Under Attack
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, thank you for Mrs. Shirley Dobson who keeps standing for Christ, after federal judge Barbara Crabb struck down a federal statute which Congress passed in 1952 recognizing the National Day of Prayer. Mrs. Dobson explains "Since the days of our Founding…,the government has protected and encouraged public prayer…This is a concerted effort by a small…number of people who have tried to prohibit all references to the Creator in the public square..." God, we pray you bring us back to You, from Psalm 33:12,”Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..” in Jesus Name, Amen.

Victory! California Votes for Jesus Prayers, ACLU Threatens
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, we thank you for the overwhelming victory to legalize public prayer in Jesus name, in the city of Lancaster, California, where 75% of voters approved a pro-Jesus prayer policy.  However, there are new threats by the ACLU to take the issue to court. Father, we pray that You would shut the mouths of your enemies, who taunt and threaten Your people, and we ask in Jesus Name, Amen.

Nebraska Bill Would Ban Most Late-term Abortions Due to Fetal Pain
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, we thank you for Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, who signed a historic law April 13 banning abortions of many pre-born babies beyond 20 weeks from conception, because evidence proves that by 20 weeks the baby experiences pain during the abortion, prior to his death. Thank God the new law directly confronts the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized child killing.  We pray for personhood bills in other states that ban abortion. From Psalm 139:16: God’s eyes saw our unformed bodies, and we are fearfully and wonderfully made, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Republican S.C. Senate Rejects 'Life Beginning at Conception Act'
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, we are grieved and outraged at many Republican South Carolina senators who voted against the personhood bill written by Christian pro-life Senator Lee Bright. Some allegedly pro-life Senators voted for abortion, tabling S.450, the Life Beginning at Conception Act, denying life to pre-born babies, including Senators Alexander, Campbell, Campsen, Cleary, Courson, Cromer, Knotts, Leatherman, Larry Martin, McConnell, O’Dell, and Peeler. Lord, we pray You would change the hearts of these men from Ezekiel 36:26 which says only you can change a heart of stone, to a heart of flesh. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Be encouraged. America stands with you.

Senior Officer Lt. Col. Terry Lakin Questions Obama Birth Eligibility
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, we pray John 8:32, “…you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Now bless Lt. Col. Terry Lakin who is willing to face court martial, even prison, forfeiting his income and likely being forced out of the military because he questions President Obama’s legal citizenship, when the President has never published his long form birth certificate. Father, stop Obama’s military from humiliating Lakin by forcing him to submit to a mental evaluation. Give the Colonel favor, courage, peace, and victory. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Huckabee Likens Homosexual Marriage to Incest, Polygamy
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, bless Governor Mike Huckabee who stands by convictions concerning homosexual “marriage,” as is evidenced by his recent speech saying that allowing homosexuals to marry is like legalizing incest, or polygamy, or even drug use. We pray God You protect Huckabee from those who disagree with him on these issues and grant him favor in what he does. From 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, we are reminded “… the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God…including the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, homosexual offenders, thieves, greedy, drunkards, slanderers.” In Jesus Name, Amen.

Ohio Christian Convert Fights to Stay in US
Let Us Pray.
Almighty God, again we pray for Ohio teenager Rifqa Bary who awaits a court hearing next month to determine whether she can stay in the United States or must be deported with her parents back to Sri Lanka, where she will likely be killed for converting from Islam to Christianity. Lord, we pray from Psalm 91:10 that no harm or disaster would come near her or near her dwelling. God move the courts to protect her life, and convert Rifqa’s parents who are Muslim, and bring them to salvation found only in Jesus Name, Amen.

Long, tall, barefoot Johnny

There really was a man referred to as Johnny Appleseed who walked barefoot some 100,000 square miles in the 1800's to plant apple trees. He lived simply and sacrificially as a believer in God, worked for the sake of his fellow human beings, and strived to be in harmony with nature. He became an American legend while still alive and is today a symbol of the America pioneer spirit, fresh and hopeful.

Born John Chapman (1774–1847) in Leominster, Massachusetts, as the second child of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Chapman, he was a direct descendant of Edward Chapman. Edward Chapman came from Yorkshire, England, to Boston in the 1640s and earned his way through hardships to become a successful farmer and miller in Ipswich.

John's father, who fought at Concord as a Minuteman in 1775 and later served in the Continental Army with General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War, was away from home when Johnny was born. That was around the time that the battle of Bunker Hill was fought. He was an officer leading a company of carpenters attached to General George Washington's forces in New York City.

While Nathaniel was in military service, his wife died shortly after giving birth to a second son. The baby also died a few days after his mother. After Nathaniel Chapman ended his military service, he returned home to Springfield, Massachusetts, and later married again in 1780 to Lucy Cooley of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. They had 10 children.

Though there is no deed found of the farms that they owned, tradition tells us that they lost most of what they had during the American Revolution. They maintained a small farm with an apple orchard where Johnny Chapman liked to run and play. As settlers stopped by, he learned of wilderness lands that were being developed through toil and risk of death through starvation. He believed apples could provide an answer, that everyone could someday be nourished by their hardy goodness. As he grew, he understood just how practical and valuable his boyhood dream would be.

In 1792, Johnny Chapman went west toward the Susquehanna River, starting on a life's mission to bring needed sustenance and help to new settlers. He got his start by picking out seeds from apple pulp thrown away by cider mills and then planting the seeds in undeveloped areas, continuing on through Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

The apples sown by Chapman were not like today's familiar sweet and tart fruit, which has evolved through grafting clones. The trees he started from seeds were not dependable but instead varied from tree to tree to produce a small, sour snack. Still, the trees did indeed save many lives and provided vital vitamins and fiber to a frontier diet heavy in game meat.

Apples could be stored in a root cellar for months. If dried, the sections were used to flavor pork, soups, and stews. The juice could be made into hard cider which served well when water was scarce or its quality questionable. Since apples filled a great need in the diets of early pioneers, generations of settlers were grateful to him for providing food as well as a livelihood.

Chapman owned orchards by finding land and paying for it with the promise of apple trees. He would clear the land, start a nursery with seeds he got for free from cider mills, and then give instructions to a nearby settler to care for the nursery and sell the trees for part share. He told the new managers they could sell trees on credit to settlers that were just starting to lay roots in the area. Then Johnny would be off to his next destination.

As trees transplanted from Chapman's orchards began to flourish, wild apple trees began to appear. Wildlife finding stray apples would deposit some of the seeds they ingested into various parts of the wilderness. These wild apple trees would combine with trees from Johnny's orchards to produce stronger apple trees.  Many new varieties occurred from which many of our heirloom apples today have evolved.

A few years after Johnny first started his journey, the Continental Congress had ratified resolutions to donate public lands to those who had left Canada and Nova Scotia to fight the British in the Revolutionary War. Upon hearing that grants of land were awarded and with an eye to future markets, Johnny got busy transporting seeds to the area. He carried sixteen bushels of apple seeds down the Ohio River with two canoes lashed together. He planted tree orchards for the war veterans before they got there, surprising them with fruit trees ready to buy at modest cost by the time they were settled. Many towns have risen on or near his nursery sites.

Most of his time was spent traveling from home to home on the frontier. Though dressed very poorly, he was welcome at many a table in many a home. He often found people that needed help, and they would offer supper and shelter for the night.  Before sitting down to eat a meal with a family, it is said he always made sure the children had enough to eat first.

The beliefs and kindness of Johnny 'Appleseed' Chapman
As a missionary for the Church of the New Jerusalem, he spread the Swedenborgian gospel by explaining doctrine to the adults and telling stories to the children. He would tear a few pages from one of Swedenborg's books and leave them with his hosts.

The Church of the New Jerusalem is a Christian church based on the biblical interpretations of Emanuel Swedenborg. Swedenborg was a Swedish scientist, investor, and theologian. Though some of his beliefs were mystical, Johnny 'Appleseed' Chapman took the Bible to heart and lived his life according to the Scriptures. He was truly a gentle, kind, helpful man.

He did not drink alcohol nor did he eat meat, as he could not stand the thought of hurting animals. If he saw an animal being mistreated, he would buy the animal and find a new home for it.  When he heard a horse was to be put down, he would buy the horse, then buy acres of grass, and turn the horse out on the grass to live out his days in peace.  Sometimes he would give the horse away to someone needy if they promised to treat it humanely.

Chapman made friends with many of the Indian tribes and was known to have learned many Indian languages well enough to converse. Memoirs from settlers in the area show that many Indians were in awe of him, and some believed he was touched by the Great Spirit because of his passion for serving others. Because of that high regard they held for him, they allowed him to listen to their council meetings. As a result, he was sometimes able to avert trouble between a tribe and incoming settlers.

During the war of 1812 the British and the Indians were roaming the country killing the settlers. Unselfishly, Johnny traveled many days and nights without food or rest to save lives by going from house to house warning the people to take shelter and try to protect themselves.

His later years and death
Johnny made several trips east to visit his sister and also to replenish his supply of Swedenborgian literature. He typically would visit his orchards every year or two to collect his earnings of about six cents per tree. The money was used to plant more orchards, or he gave it away to someone who was in need. The majority of earnings during his lifetime were given to his sister, to his church, and to various needy people he came upon.

If someone couldn't pay, he would barter for used clothing or corn meal, or he gave the trees away without cost or told them they could pay him later.

Upon his death, he left an estate of over 1,200 acres of valuable nurseries to his sister. He was actually worth much more, but unfortunate occurrences prevented that from being shown.

The financial panic of 1837 took a toll on his estate. Trees only brought two or three cents each. Some of his land was sold for taxes following his death, and litigation used up much of the rest. He had purchased the southwest quarter (160 acres) of section 26, Mohican Township, Ashland County, Ohio, but he did not record the deed and lost the property.

Historical documents say he was buried beneath an apple tree along the St. Joseph River, on the Archer farm, "four miles north of Fort Wayne."  Although the actual site of his grave is disputed, a national historic landmark gravesite is located in Johnny Appleseed Park (formerly known as Archer Park) in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

An incident that lives on in American memory
--"One day a preacher came to the area where Johnny was working and in his sermon decried materialism asking, 'Where now is there a man who like the primitive Christian is traveling to heaven barefooted and in coarse raiment?' After he had made the statement several times, John in his coffee-sack shirt stepped forward and said, 'Here's your primitive Christian.' The preacher quickly dismissed the congregation."--

In Memory of Johnny Appleseed
Johnny Appleseed Song
American popular culture remembers the Johnny Appleseed traveling song, "The Lord is good to me,' which is today sung in camps or before meals in some American households.
Oh, the Lord's been good to me, And so I'll thank the Lord For giving me the things I need, The sun and the rain and the appleseed, The Lord's been good to me.   Amen Amen Amen Amen Amen, Aaaaaaaaaamen.
And every seed I sow, will grow up to a tree, And we'll have apples everywhere, For you and me and the world to share, The Lord's been good to me.   Amen… amen, amen, amen, Aaaaaaaaaamen.

In honor of Johnny Appleseed, Fort Wayne, Indiana holds an annual festival, as does Sheffield, Pennsylvania, and Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Johnny Appleseed School is in Leominster, Massachusetts.

Statue of Johnny Appleseed
Viktor Schreckengost's sculpture of Johnny Appleseed kneeling above the doors of the Lakewood High School Civic Auditorium in Lakewood, Ohio, has been the source of some controversy. Used as a logo for the Lakewood Schools ever since its inception, the local Board of Education decided that progress would be served if the statue was generic, if it was simply called 'Early Settler.' While the Board calls Appleseed 'eccentric,' ignores the intent of the artist, and tries to diminish the memory of a true legend, everyday Americans still refer to the statue by its intended name of 'Johnny Appleseed.'

Disney honored Johnny Appleseed with animated 1948 film
Melody Time featured Dennis Day in a fantasy tale based on the life of Johnny Appleseed. It is a 19-minute segment about an apple farmer who sees others going west, wistfully wishing he, too, could find purpose in going west.  An angel appears, singing an apple song, and gives Johnny encouragement to fulfill his dream.

Prayers for the nation

Supreme Court Justice Stevens To Retire
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, now that pro-abortion Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has announced his decision to retire, we pray for a big miracle, that somehow President Obama will appoint a pro-life replacement to the Supreme Court. From Psalm 139:13, protect innocent children, for You formed their inward parts; You wove them in their mother’s womb. God help the Senate defeat ANY nominee who would rule to kill innocent children, in Jesus name, Amen.

Stupak Won't Seek Re-election
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we thank you for the decision of Bart Stupak to not run for re-election to Congress after he betrayed the pro-life community and voted to support President Obama’s unconstitutional healthcare takeover that requires federal funding for abortion. Since Stupak’s denials that his decision wasn’t based on pressure from Tea Party Conservatives, or his low poll numbers, we thank you anyway that our national campaign helped drove out the betrayer. Now we pray that You would replace Stupak with a Congressman who chooses and stands for life, as You taught us in Deuteronomy 30:19, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Students Work to Overturn ObamaCare
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we thank you for the 5000 American doctors, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the first medical society to sue to overturn the pro-abortion Obamacare law, and the 32 homeschooled students who have also contacted their representatives to urge lawmakers to work towards overturning the unconstitutional healthcare bill. Lord we know from Proverbs 16:13 that the king’s wrath is a messenger of death, but the wise man will appease it, so we ask that You would use Your people to stop the death created by this law, and overturn it miraculously, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Doctors Say Schools May Deceive About Homosexuality
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we thank you for the American College of Pediatricians who launched the website FactsAboutYouth.com, releasing new studies confirming the vast majority of teens who report same-sex confusion no longer have such feelings and become fully heterosexual by age 25, against some school's homosexual recruiters. Thank God for this proof confirming the Bible’s teaching that such temptation is demonic and resistible, from 1 Cor 6:11, such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God, Amen.

'Day of Silence' Propaganda, Keep Your Child Home April 16
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we thank you for the work of Mission America and Linda Harvey who are exposing the lies of homosexual recruiters, who work to deceive public school children through their “Day of Silence” campaign, in which some teachers encourage and allow students to remain silent all day at school in order to promote homosexual awareness. God please give parents wisdom to pull their children from participating schools on April 16th. From John 8:32, let them know the truth, and protect their children from being deceived by liars, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Census abused as 'Gay Gimmick'
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we are grieved by the tactics by Obama Administration appointees at the Census Bureau who plan to count unmarried same sex couples as married, which violates the Defense of Marriage Act, the federal law forbidding government endorsement of same sex sin. God stop the militant homosexual community from lying on their census forms, which would skew the true number of married couples in America, and allocate our tax-dollars to homosexual programs. We declare from Genesis 2:24 that marriage is one man and one woman, regardless of what the Census will falsely report, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Answered Prayer: Maryam Released from Iran Prison
Let Us Pray. Almighty God, we thank you for hearing our prayers for our sister Maryam Jalili who was recently released from Evin Prison in Iran on March 17th, after spending over three months in prison for simply worshipping Jesus on Christmas Eve. Lord, we declare from Isaiah 42:7 that You set the captives free, and you release those who are bound in dungeons of darkness. Now we ask that you would open the blinded eyes of Maryam’s captors so that they would find salvation through Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Will Che someday cower before Christ as he did when confronted by soldiers?

Not all leftists that admire Che Guevara are anti-Capitalists who believe their country is immoral, and not all anti-Capitalist, anti-American leftists admire Che Guevara; but the two sentiments do seem to be coupled often enough, particularly among our cool and chic idealistic youth who graduated from elite colleges.

Then there is Hollywood, land of make-believe. Those who are successful in movies make so much money, they can't possibly understand what it's like to struggle at a nine-to-five job every day and make less than $50,000 a year. They can't possibly understand what it's like to feel the pain of ever-growing taxes, to feel the pain of having a good portion of their money taken away to give to too many causes they don't believe in or to people that don't want to work. They don't know the risk of starting a business and watching it go under in a society that is learning to regard them with an ever-increasing hostility for their enterprising efforts.

The names Robert Redford, Ted Turner, Jack Nicholson, Naomi Campbell, Steven Spielberg are among those who have expressed admiration for the mass-murdering creep Che Guevara. Guevara is reportedly the man that Hugo Chavez admires most; and it is no secret that Sean Penn admires Chavez.

It's liberals, never conservatives, that admire Guevara as a communist who wanted to destroy capitalism, and their admiration is very ironic. Anything but a liberal in his thinking, he stood for the old-school rigidities of Latin-American thought.

Leftists speak of social justice and the rebellion of free thought. Yet Che was actually an enemy of freedom and justice. They speak out against capital punishment, yet their hero signed death warrants for thousands without trial, claiming that trials and evidence were an unnecessary detail. His office in La Cabana had a window where he could watch the executions.

Do these well-off members of our American society admire dictators because of their power, a power their money cannot buy them in traditional America. Are they provoked that every-day common folks can aspire to achieve their same kind of power by earning their own money with their own talents? Do they fancy themselves to be leaders, much like Chavez or Castro, over a common mass of people forced into a helpless and dependent situation.

Or are they simply ignorant of who Che Guevara really was?

He came from a wealthy family, and he was well travelled. Trained as a medical doctor, he never bothered to have a practice. Castro put him in charge of the Cuban economy at the start of his regime, but the ego of Che brought it to an all-time low from which it never recovered. His personal life was also a shambles. Hypocritcal is telling others to keep themselves sexually pure, he himself was an adulterer with many illegitimate children whom he abandoned along with his two wives and their children.

Hailed as a guerilla warrior, he sacrificed thousands of his young, deluded followers to die in warfare. He never fought in a war himself; and when confronted by Bolivian soldiers, he surrendered with a whimper in saying he was worth more alive than dead.

The reasonable right already finds him repulsive; and the following quotes should sicken anyone--even those on the left:

“I’m neither a Christ nor a philanthropist. I’m everything contrary to a Christ, and philanthropy seems worthless in comparison to what I believe in. I will fight with all the weapons within my reach rather than let myself be nailed to a cross or whatever.”

"....the black is indolent and fanciful, he spends his money on frivolity and drink; the European comes from a tradition of working and saving which follows him to this corner of America and drives him to get ahead."
"Youth must refrain from ungrateful questioning of governmental mandates,” “Instead, they must dedicate themselves to study, work and military service.” “Youth should learn to think and act as a mass.”
“Mexicans are a rabble of illiterate Indians.”
“The U.S. is the great enemy of mankind! Against those hyenas there is no option but extermination! If the nuclear missiles had remained, we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S. including New York City!”
“Once more I was able to convince myself how criminal the capitalistic octopuses are. On a picture of our old and bewailed comrade Stalin, I swore not to rest before these capitalistic octopuses are destroyed.”
“Hatred as the central element of our struggle!...Hatred that is intransigent….Hatred so violent that it propels a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him violent and cold- blooded killing machine…We reject any peaceful approach. Violence is inevitable. To establish Socialism rivers of blood must flow. The victory of Socialism is well worth millions of atomic victims!”
“Relentless hatred of the enemy impels us over and over, and transforms us into effective and selective violent cold killing machines.” “I feel my nostrils dilate, savoring the acrid smell of gunpowder and blood, of the enemy’s death.”
“In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm.”
Rest assured that Che will someday meet Christ. In the meantime, and because we just finished celebrating Easter, I close this article with quotes about Christ from Napoleon:

“I know men; and I tell you that Jesus Christ is not a man. Superficial minds see a resemblance between Christ and the founders of empires, and the gods of other religions. That resemblance does not exist…Everything in Christ astonishes me. His spirit overawes me, and His will confounds me. Between Him and whoever else in the world, there is no possible term of comparison. He is truly a being by Himself. His ideas and sentiments, the truth which He announces, His manner of convincing, are not explained either by human organization or by the nature of things…The nearer I approach, the more carefully I examine, everything is above me—everything remains grand, of a grandeur which overpowers…. One can absolutely find nowhere, but in Him alone, the imitation or the example of His life… I search in vain in history to find the similar to Jesus Christ… Neither history, nor humanity, nor the ages, nor nature, offer me anything with which I am able to compare it or explain it. Here everything is extraordinary.”

"Well then, I will tell you. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, all these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man.... I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.... but to do this it was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts.... Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man toward the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father of his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forthwith His demand is granted. Wonderful! In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ."

Crucifixion - Poetry

A dreary night, a fateful night, cold winds were mourning.
Torches held, lanterns waved, weapons flashed their warning.
Soldiers guided to the man they had been seeking.
Trembling trees, ill at ease, roots and branches creaking,
Swaying hard, whimpering low, trying to trill free.
What cup is this? Something's wrong! This cannot be!

Rocks on the hillside, deep inside rumbled murmurs unheard,
Waiting to whirl around, crash the ground, for the Master's one word.
Dismal was the air, thick with dark despair, Dread was busy with its weaving.
Disciples in dismay, mental disarray, Jesus was leaving.
Bound in chains, dragged away, quiet as a lamb.
Long harbored in palest light, the nightmare began.

The Temple held Him captive by abusers with accusations stern
Who mocked Him, then struck Him for the Truth they wouldn't learn.
Grueling on, well past the dawn, 'til Passover's bell in heaven sings--
King of kings, Lamb of lambs, to be the sacrifice God brings.
All conscious life relates this time when authority He forgo,
As was His plan before the world began so very long ago.

Hardened men flogged Him, pushed thorns in around His head.
Men shouted, "Crucify!" not knowing why, they wanted Him dead.
Angels hovered up above watching frantically should He call.
The One adored as their Lord might refrain His death to befall.
The plight of mankind on His mind, Abba's spirit permeating,
Weak and wobbling, stumbled He with the cross to Golgotha awaiting.

Officials grabbed Son of Man, pounded feet and hands upon the wood with nails,
Raised the cross with Him embossed as the crowd continued with their gales.
"Say, King! Save Yourself," jeered the wild and cheer-mongering squad.
"Come down from that cross if You truly are the Son of God!"
Smug centurions cast lots for His garments, acting cocksure, not afraid.
Too aware of the man betrayed whom they couldn't break or persuade.

Bones in agony, soul in anguish, sneers heard through the haze,
"You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days!"
A repentant man with weary heart turned to Jesus, humbly grieved,
"Remember me in Your kingdom," for on that hour in Jesus he believed.
Without reason, in that season, the sun bestowed its duty at a loss.
Jesus became iniquity for us as though then a serpent on a cross.

The earth darkened, angels disappeared, Jesus endured all as foretold.
On the cross He stayed, to His God He prayed, as penalty was doled.
The sky remained silent. God turned away, the Son so alone and forsaken.
"It is finished." Into God's hands He gave up His spirit to be taken.
Rocks were loosed in wild free fall while the earth shook and rolled.
Centurions were terrified as they watched another dimension unfold.

The proof of Christ evermore of that day haunts the souls of men in denial--
Could this man truly be "I AM HE," the Son sent for man with God to reconcile.

Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23:42-43
