In Praise of Our Lord, Savior, and True Hope: Poem

Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord -- Philippines 2:11

From there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. -- Deuteronomy 4:29

When the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior. -- Titus 3:4-6

Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. -- Daniel 2:20-22

When My Heart Is Troubled

You know that I love You and rely on Your laws.
You hear me when unto You I cry.
Command your angels to guide each cautious step that I take
And to guard the untold paths that I try.

Evil may fertilize all around me
And I am misunderstood by my foes,
I remember how profound You are,
With me always in what my heart knows.

While I struggle with obduracy of darkness
And my efforts to overcome are flawed,
I hold tight to the melody of Your kingship.
From everlasting to everlasting You are God.

I kneel before You, O Lord, my Maker,
For You alone inspire majestic praise.
In the shelter of Your strength will I someday rest,
To dwell in Your presence all of my days.
